Favourite Paris Elopement and Shoot Locations | Elopement & Engagement Photographer Paris France
Paris, as you can imagine, has an almost inexhaustible array of locations to choose from for your photoshoot, elopement or wedding. After 11 years living in Paris and seeing it for that time both as a photographer and local I know all the best spots and would love to show them to you! Stay with me for a guided tour around my favourite Paris locations!
THE LOUVRE & TUILERIES
No trip or shoot around Paris is complete without taking in the stunning Louvre Museum and Tuileries Gardens. It has a lovely variety of options in a relatively small are walkable area, from the Louvre Pyramid, beautiful old buildings, courtyards, riverside, Tuileries gardens and the nearby Palais Royale and cafes. The Louvre is also closed on Tuesdays so is a little less crowded on that day.
BIR HAKEIM BRIDGE
Bir Hakeim Bridge is a beautiful bridge with an equally beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower. It’s one of if not my favourite view of the Tower and as it is relatively quiet it is always perfect for Eiffel Tower elopements and surprise proposals or any type of Eiffel Shoot. It also has a lovely riverside area that also works beautifully.
TROCADERO
Trocadero is another lovely Eiffel Tower location. It is the classic view of Madame Eiffel but can get super super busy especially during tourist season, which these days is all year round. Shooting here is best done as early as possible in the morning, ie shortly after sunrise ;)
PONT ALEXANDER III
Pont Alexander III is definitely the most ornate bridge in Paris. It also has a discreet Eiffel Tower view but is a whole stunning location all by itself.
NOTRE DAME AREA
Notre Dame is more than the beautiful church. It also has a beautiful garden, riverside, two islands and little streets and bridges. Another lovely area to explore!
THE LUXEMBOURG GARDENS
The Luxembourg Gardens is one of the prettiest gardens in Paris and its crowning jewel is the beautiful Medici Fountain. This is another place best shot in early morning ideally as it can get quite busy, especially around the Medici Fountain.
PARC MONCEAU
Another beautiful Paris park. Generally slightly quieter than many others, (fingers crossed). A lovely place for an elopement with the lakeside and bridge but also perfect for any type of shoot.
RODIN MUSEUM
The Rodin Museum is a beautiful museum and garden in the heart of Paris. I think the photos speak for themselves and describe its beauty much better than I ever could.
CHAPELLE EXPIATOIRE
The Chapelle Expiatoire is the perfect place for an elopement or small intimate wedding. It has such a lovely little chapel and garden and is completely private and hidden from the outside world.
THE REST OF PARIS
If I was to list all the wonderful places to shoot in in Paris this would be a post that may take days to read! Those are just a few of my favourites but there are many others, including beautiful churches, hotels, & neighbourhoods like Montmartre and the Arc de Triomphe etc that are waiting for you to discover on a photographic tour around Paris with my camera and I!
